Custom Invitations
Design Process
To begin the design process please fill out the client profile form. After this has been completed I will contact you by e-mail to schedule a client consultation. At the consultation, please bring all of your ideas that you have for your wedding including the dress, ceremony/reception location, etc. Better yet, if you have any pictures at all bring them. We will discuss all of the details and the overall theme for your event including budget, colors, etc. Remember the more information you give the better. Time will also be set aside to discuss proper wedding invitation etitiquette, postage options, timing of mailings etc. at our consultation. Paper Frosting hopes to make this part of your big day as carefree as possible and will be there every step of the way.
Once the client has decided to proceed with Paper Frosting, an initial non-refundable design fee of $50.00 will be collected and the actual design process will begin. Two complimentary revisions are included with this initial design fee. Additional revisions are subject to additional charges. Once a design has been approved, the production process will begin once payment has been received. Paper Frosting requires 50% of the final invoice to be paid before production begins or materials are ordered. The remaining 50% is due one week prior to completion of order.
Pricing
Since all of Paper Frostings creations are custom, pricing varies from design to design. While it is difficult to give a set price before the design has been approved, we strive to find an invitation unique to each client within their budget that is exactly what they envision. Please be very specific in regards to your budget guidelines on the client profile form, so we can make sure we are within your budget.
Proofing
Paper Frosting will provide a completed sample (vendor inventory and minimums allowing) before all materials are ordered. The client will then complete the proofing approval form, sign and return to Paper Frosting. Once received production will take place.
Addressing
Addressing your invitations can be done several ways, from printing directly on the envelope, to custom designed labels, to hand written calligraphy. The client will be responsible for turning over a word document with all of the addresses and names in the format that you would like for the final invitation. Please note that the client is responsible for proofing their own document in regards to addressing. Any changes or typos due to the client document being incorrect will be an additional charge.
Shipping
All orders will be shipped first class or priority mail. If the client is interested in additional services such as insurance or verified signature please let us know and we can arrange for these shipping methods. Shipping charges will vary depending on the weight of your package. Paper Frosting will provide shipping charges and a shipping payment must be received from client before invites are shipped. If in the St. Louis area, arrangements can be made for hand delivery to save on shipping costs. Another additional way to save on shipping is to have Paper Frosting ship directly to your guests, please let us know if you would like this service. Paper Frosting is not responsible for damages or lost invitations after shipments have been made.
Postage
Postage can vary based on several different factors including: weight, shape, or if invite should be hand cancelled due to avoiding damage to product etc. Paper Frosting is not responsible for quoting postage, but will definitely guide the client in the correct direction if postage prices are an issue. General guidelines will be given at initial consultation, but again client will be responsible for obtaining correct postage from the US Postal Service on their own.
Cancellations
If for any reason an order must be cancelled before approving the proof, the initial deposit of $50.00 will be lost. After a proof has been approved and the payment has been made to begin production, no refunds can be made due to the custom nature of the invitations.
